Flagler Sheriff Explorers

Landscape transition
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Explorer Program has been shaping future leaders since 1986. Open to young men and women ages 14–18, the program provides a hands-on introduction to law enforcement while fostering discipline, leadership, and community pride.

Program Details:
  • Location: Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Operations Center, 61 Sheriff EW Johnston Drive, Bunnell, FL 32110
  • Meetings: Mondays, 6:00–8:00 PM (year-round, excluding holidays)

Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled in school and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA
  • No criminal history
  • Demonstrate good moral character and respect for laws
  • Adhere to FCSO policies and Explorer by-laws

What Explorers Gain:
  • Training in traffic control, defensive tactics, crime scene investigation, firearms safety, and more
  • Physical fitness and teamwork development
  • Opportunities to volunteer and serve the community
  • Mentorship and guidance from law enforcement professionals
