

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Explorer Program has been shaping future leaders since 1986. Open to young men and women ages 14–18, the program provides a hands-on introduction to law enforcement while fostering discipline, leadership, and community pride.
Program Details:
- Location: Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Operations Center, 61 Sheriff EW Johnston Drive, Bunnell, FL 32110
- Meetings: Mondays, 6:00–8:00 PM (year-round, excluding holidays)
Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in school and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA
- No criminal history
- Demonstrate good moral character and respect for laws
- Adhere to FCSO policies and Explorer by-laws
What Explorers Gain:
- Training in traffic control, defensive tactics, crime scene investigation, firearms safety, and more
- Physical fitness and teamwork development
- Opportunities to volunteer and serve the community
- Mentorship and guidance from law enforcement professionals

Jr. Explorers Program
The Jr. Explorers Program introduces young students to law enforcement, leadership, and community service in a fun, structured environment. Designed for motivated, community-minded youth, the program helps participants build confidence, responsibility, and teamwork while learning valuable life skills.
